As I was thinking of a cleaver name for this blog, I bounced the idea around about Spider Webs. Reason being, every morning as I would walk out the front door, I would walk through the same spider web. Its like they were making it every night deliberately. It doesn’t help that I have a slight phobia of spiders either. So that is the name Dodging Spiderwebs.
My purpose is to share with you the gems I find online, and add my opinion and thoughts pertaining to our online lives. I spend more time online than off, (which I’m told is a bad thing) and as you already know, there is really good content, and really really bad information online. I hope to uplift, motivate, and provide the resources to make your online experience richer. Call it “Life Hacking” “Self Improvement,”"Social Computing,” or “Network Relationship Management,” there is a lot of it out there, and I want to help you “dodge the spiderwebs.”
Another passion of mine is around Social Media. I love reading about it, using it, and helping others (individually and professionally) embrace and adopt principles. Anytime you are an advocate of something, you use it, or in software terms, “you eat your dog food.” One skill that I lack in is writing. I have a lot to share, I can show you how to do it, I can explain it over the phone, but writing about it is where I fall short. This is my quest to refine my writing, and still share what I have learned in almost 10 years of IT and business roles.
I am a father, husband, brother, and a good friend. I am active participant to my local community and online networks.
Thanks for coming along on this journey with me. I hope you will stay and contribute.
